Bennett Lumber and Indigenous People

Indigenous People are an integral part of several communities in which Bennett Lumber operates.  These communities have unique cultures and histories, and their relationships with Bennett are varied.  These relationships include business relationships, such as customer, employer, and supplier, and also shared use of forest resources for hunting, fishing and trapping.  Most, if not all, of these relationships have been constructive and collaborative.

Bennett Lumber is committed to recognize and respect the rights of Indigenous People in our operating area.  We appreciate these distinct cultures, and understand their legal rights.  We seek to maintain working relationships with these groups by responding to inquiries and requests, maintaining good business relationships, and providing employment opportunities as we are able.
